In this tutorial, I am going to demonstrate how I created this concept artwork, and also discuss the importance of layer structure and housekeeping in Adobe Photoshop.

**FYI**
In this video tutorial, I will be using Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 for mac. Almost all of the principles demonstrated and covered will apply to future and previous versions. Some differences may apply if you are using a previous or future version.

KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS USED IN THIS TUTORIAL:

T -  Type Tool

Cmd (Ctrl PC) N - New Document
Cmd (Ctrl PC) W - Close document
Cmd (Ctrl PC) T - Free Transform
Cmd (Ctrl PC) G - Group layers

Cmd (Ctrl PC) D + Enter - Deselect Type

Cmd (Ctrl PC) Shift N - Create new Layer in PS
Cmd (Ctrl PC) Shift I - Invert Selection

Alt click + drag - Quick copy object

Shift click - Select multiple objects/layers

Scale + alt + click and drag on point - Scale up (with free transform active)
